Maria Eugénia and Francisco Garcia
Maria Eugénia and Francisco Garcia were two art collectors passionate about Modern Art in Portugal. It was up to us, in collaboration with the MNAC and the couple's children, to develop the identity of the exhibition and book about this passion.
We developed a typographic composition that reflects the diversity of the collection. By changing the typography in a rhythmic and balanced way, we also represent two different people who complement each other.
We created a contrast between the black and white portraits and a modern and lively color that accompanies the progressive character of the collection. The vertical orientation maintains the visual balance, giving similar weights to the names and reinforcing the modernist aspect.
